Description

Ingredients

  • Spaghetti
  • Large raw shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • Fresh garlic
  • Fresh lemon juice
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti in salted boiling water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté shrimp until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  3. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet during the last minute of cooking.
  4. Drain spaghetti, reserving 1 cup of pasta water. Combine pasta with shrimp, adding lemon juice and zest.
  5. Gradually add reserved pasta water for desired consistency. Mix well to coat the pasta.
  6. Stir in chopped parsley and season with salt and pepper before serving hot.
