Ingredients

  • Sourdough Bread
  • Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • Pizza Sauce
  • Pepperoni Slices (or vegetables)
  • Unsalted Butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Spread butter on one side of each slice of sourdough bread. On the unbuttered side of one slice, layer shredded mozzarella generously, followed by pizza sauce and pepperoni slices. Top with the second slice of bread, butter-side up.
  3. Grill the sandwich in the preheated skillet for 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Carefully flip and grill the other side for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cheese melts and both sides are crispy.
  4. Remove from heat, let cool slightly, then slice in half and serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
