  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon sugar (optional, to balance acidity)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

For the Spaghetti:

  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • Water and salt (for boiling)

Instructions

    • Stir in crushed tomatoes, basil, oregano, sugar (if using), salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
    • Add the browned meatballs to the sauce and simmer for an additional 15-20 minutes until the meatballs are fully cooked.
  4. Cook the Spaghetti:
    • Boil spaghetti in a large pot of salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  5. Assemble the Dish:
    • Plate the spaghetti and top with meatballs and sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan if desired.
