- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder

- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 cups crushed Ritz crackers (or gluten-free crackers for a GF option)
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

- Spread the chicken mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix the crushed Ritz crackers with the melted butter. Sprinkle the buttery cracker crumbs evenly over the top of the casserole.
- Bake uncovered in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the top is golden brown.
- Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
- For extra flavor, try adding cooked bacon bits or sautéed onions to the chicken mixture.
- You can substitute the cream of chicken soup with a homemade version or a low-fat variety for a lighter option.
- This casserole freezes well! To freeze, assemble the casserole, cover tightly, and freeze before baking. When ready to bake, thaw overnight and bake as directed.
