For Assembly:
- 4 large pita breads, warmed
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup thinly sliced red onion
- Crumbled feta cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Lamb:
- In a large bowl, mix the ground lamb with minced garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, cinnamon, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the lamb mixture and cook for 8-10 minutes, breaking it into small pieces, until fully cooked and slightly crispy. Set aside.
- Make the Tzatziki Sauce:
- In a bowl, combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, dill, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well and refrigerate until ready to use.
- Assemble the Gyros:
- Place warm pita bread on a plate. Layer with shredded lettuce, cooked lamb, diced tomatoes, and red onions. Drizzle generously with tzatziki sauce. Add crumbled feta if desired.
