- 28 oz canned whole tomatoes

- 2 tsp Italian seasoning

- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh basil (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add diced onions and sauté until translucent.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
- Add canned tomatoes and crush gently; stir until combined.
- Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer on low for 20 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine ground halal beef, minced garlic, salt, pepper, egg (optional), and breadcrumbs. Mix gently.
- Roll mixture into meatballs (about 1 inch wide). Sear meatballs in another skillet with olive oil until golden brown.
- Transfer meatballs into the simmering sauce; cover and cook for another 15-20 minutes.
- Boil salted water in another pot; add spaghetti and cook according to package directions until al dente.
- Serve spaghetti topped with marinara sauce and meatballs; garnish with freshly grated Parmesan.
