- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Rinse and pat dry the chicken breasts.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil and sear the chicken breasts until browned on both sides (5–7 minutes per side). Remove from skillet.
- Sauté chopped onions in the same skillet until translucent (about 3 minutes), then add minced garlic.
- Pour in the chicken broth and scrape up any bits stuck to the pan. Stir in cream cheese until melted and smooth.
- Lower the heat and mix in sour cream, paprika, salt, and pepper. Return chicken to skillet and spoon sauce over each piece.
- Transfer to an oven-safe dish if needed and bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
