  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Rinse and pat dry the chicken breasts.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil and sear the chicken breasts until browned on both sides (5–7 minutes per side). Remove from skillet.
  3. Sauté chopped onions in the same skillet until translucent (about 3 minutes), then add minced garlic.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and scrape up any bits stuck to the pan. Stir in cream cheese until melted and smooth.
  5. Lower the heat and mix in sour cream, paprika, salt, and pepper. Return chicken to skillet and spoon sauce over each piece.
  6. Transfer to an oven-safe dish if needed and bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
