Ingredients

Scale

For the Dough:

  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water (110°F/45°C)
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Toppings:

  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup halal-certified pepperoni slices
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough:
    • In a small bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
    • In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil, then knead until a smooth dough forms.
    • Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until it doubles in size.
  2. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat up.
  3. Assemble the Pizza:
    • Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface into a 12-inch circle. Transfer it to a piece of parchment paper.
    • Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
    • Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top, followed by halal pepperoni slices. Add oregano and red pepper flakes if desired.
  4. Bake the Pizza:
    • Carefully transfer the pizza (with the parchment paper) onto the preheated stone or baking sheet.
    • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
  5. Serve:
    • Let the pizza cool for a minute or two before slicing. Serve hot and enjoy!

  • For convenience, you can use store-bought pizza dough.
  • Customize with additional halal toppings such as vegetables, olives, or mushrooms.
