The flaky, juicy salmon fillets are grilled to perfection and topped with a creamy, flavorful butter infused with fresh herbs and a touch of zesty lemon. This dish is ideal for weeknight dinners, healthy meal prep, or even as a centerpiece for special occasions. With minimal effort and maximum flavor, this recipe is a go-to for seafood lovers and anyone looking for a healthy, protein-rich meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each, skin-on or skinless)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 lemon (zested and juiced)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, finely chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F/200°C).
  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Brush each fillet with olive oil and season with salt and black pepper.
  • In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, lemon zest, lemon juice, minced garlic, parsley, and dill. Mix until well blended.
  • Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the grill. Cook for 4-6 minutes per side, depending on the thickness of the fillets, until the salmon is opaque and easily flakes with a fork.
  • Transfer the grilled salmon to a plate and immediately top each fillet with a dollop of the lemon herb butter. Let the butter melt over the hot salmon.
  • Serve warm with your favorite side dishes.

Notes

  • Marinating Tip: For extra flavor, marinate the salmon in olive oil, lemon juice, and fresh herbs for 15-30 minutes before grilling.
  • Serving Suggestions: Pair with roasted asparagus, garlic mashed potatoes, or a fresh green salad.
