Description

Mediterranean stuffed grape leaves are a delightful fusion of flavors enveloped in tender grape leaves, perfect for gatherings or cozy evenings. Easy to prepare and irresistibly delicious!


Ingredients

  • Grape leaves (jarred or canned)
  • Long grain rice
  • Ground lamb or beef
  • Onion
  • Fresh dill and parsley
  • Lemon juice
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Soak dried grape leaves in warm water; rinse jarred leaves under cold water.
  2. Sauté finely chopped onions in olive oil until golden brown, then add ground meat and cook until browned.
  3. Mix in uncooked rice, chopped herbs, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and optional spices; cook for 5 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Place a tablespoon of filling on each grape leaf and roll tightly from stem to tip.
  5. Arrange rolls seam-side down in a pot, cover with water, drizzle with olive oil, and place a plate on top to keep submerged.
  6. Cover and simmer on low heat for 45 minutes until rice is tender.
