Description

Indulge in the perfect combination of sweet and savory with this Honey Garlic Glazed Salmon Recipe. This quick and easy dish features tender salmon fillets coated in a rich, sticky honey garlic glaze that’s bursting with flavor. Ideal for weeknight dinners or special occasions, this recipe pairs beautifully with steamed vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 teaspoons water (optional, for thickening glaze)
  • Fresh parsley or green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Salmon:
    • Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  2. Make the Honey Garlic Sauce:
    • In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and minced garlic.
  3. Cook the Salmon:
    • Heat olive oil or butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Place the salmon fillets skin-side down (if skin-on) and cook for 4-5 minutes until the bottom is golden and crisp.
    • Carefully flip the salmon and cook for another 2-3 minutes until cooked through. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Prepare the Glaze:
    • In the same skillet, pour in the honey garlic sauce mixture. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly reduced. If you prefer a thicker glaze, stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for another minute until thickened.
  5. Glaze the Salmon:
    • Return the salmon fillets to the skillet, spooning the glaze over the top to coat evenly. Let it cook for 1-2 minutes to heat through and absorb the flavors.
  6. Serve:
    • Transfer the glazed salmon to a serving plate and garnish with fresh parsley or green onions. Serve immediately with your favorite sides.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce for a spicy kick.
  • This dish pairs wonderfully with steamed broccoli, mashed potatoes, or quinoa.
  • To bake the salmon instead, preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C), pour the glaze over the salmon in a baking dish, and bake for 12-15 minutes.
