Ingredients
- Boneless halal chicken thighs
- Frozen peas and carrots
- Onion
- Garlic
- All-purpose flour
- Low-sodium chicken broth
- Heavy cream
- Pie crusts (store-bought or homemade)
- Dried thyme and rosemary
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté chopped onions until translucent, then add minced garlic and cook briefly.
- Add bite-sized boneless halal chicken thighs along with frozen peas and carrots, cooking until chicken is no longer pink (about 5-7 minutes).
- Sprinkle flour over the mixture to thicken. Gradually pour in low-sodium chicken broth while stirring until smooth.
- Stir in heavy cream, season with thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Simmer until bubbly and thickened (3-5 minutes).
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Roll out one pie crust into a dish, pour in the filling, top with another crust, crimp edges to seal.
- Cut slits in the top crust for steam to escape; bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly before serving.
