Ingredients

  • Ground beef
  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Parsley
  • Cumin powder
  • Pita bread
  • Tahini sauce
  • Lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground beef, grated onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, cumin powder, salt, and pepper until combined.
  2. Wet your hands and shape the mixture into 3-4 inch oval koftas.
  3. Heat olive oil in a grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the koftas for about 5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.
  4. Wrap pita bread in foil and place in a low oven (200°F) to keep warm.
  5. Slice open each pita pocket and fill with koftas, lettuce, tomato slices, cucumber strips, and drizzle with tahini sauce.
