Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons lemon zest
- 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Prepare the Marinade:
- In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, dill, garlic, salt, and black pepper.
- Marinate the Salmon:
- Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the fillets, ensuring they are well coated.
- Cover and refrigerate for 15-30 minutes.
- Preheat the Grill:
- Heat the grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
- Grill the Salmon:
- Remove the salmon from the marinade and discard any excess. Place the fillets skin-side down on the grill.
- Grill for 4-6 minutes per side, depending on the thickness, or until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
- Serve:
- Transfer the salmon to a serving platter, garnish with fresh dill and lemon wedges, and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a smoky flavor, add wood chips to the grill.
- If grilling isn’t an option, bake the salmon in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes.
- Serve with a side of steamed asparagus or wild rice for a complete meal.
