- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 4 tbsp butter
- Spices: cumin, garam masala, turmeric
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken by mixing yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, cumin, and salt. Coat the chicken thighs well and let sit for at least 30 minutes.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Sauté chopped onions until golden brown (5-7 minutes).
- Stir in canned tomatoes along with garam masala and cumin. Cook until thickened (about 10 minutes).
- Add marinated chicken along with any leftover marinade. Cook until the chicken is fully cooked (about 15 minutes).
- Reduce heat to low and stir in heavy cream. Let simmer for 5-10 minutes to meld flavors.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with basmati rice or naan.
