- 4 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup milk (or more as needed)

- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Mashed Potatoes:
- Boil the cubed potatoes in salted water until fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Drain and mash with butter and milk until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper.
- Cook the Beef Mixture:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Add diced onion and garlic, cooking until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, peas, and carrots. Cook for 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Assemble the Casserole:
- Spread the beef mixture evenly in the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spoon the mashed potatoes over the beef, spreading to cover the entire surface.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top.
