  • Ziti Pasta
  • Ground Halal Beef
  • Marinara Sauce
  • Ricotta Cheese
  • Mozzarella Cheese
  • Parmesan Cheese
  • Fresh Basil or Italian Seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Boil ziti pasta in salted water until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Sauté diced onions and minced garlic until translucent.
  3. Add ground halal beef, cooking until browned (6-8 minutes). Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in marinara sauce, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning; simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix ricotta cheese with egg (if using), salt, pepper, and half of the parmesan cheese.
  6. Layer meat sauce, ziti pasta, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella cheese in a baking dish.
  7. Top with remaining meat sauce and sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan cheese on top. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 25 minutes; remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes until bubbly.
