Ingredients

  • Yukon Gold potatoes
  • Unsalted butter
  • Shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • Fresh garlic
  • Olive oil
  • Salt & pepper

Instructions

  1. Boil Yukon Gold potatoes in salted water for 15-20 minutes until fork-tender.
  2. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  3. Drain the boiled potatoes and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil.
  4. Gently smash each potato with a potato masher or the bottom of a glass.
  5. Sprinkle minced garlic, salt, pepper, and shredded cheese over the smashed potatoes.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
