Ingredients
Scale
- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb)
- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated fresh Parmesan cheese
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley (optional) for garnish
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients and finely chop the garlic.
- Boil a large pot of salted water, then cook the fettuccine until al dente (about 8-10 minutes). Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add seasoned chicken breasts and sauté until golden brown and cooked through (about 6-7 minutes per side). Remove chicken from skillet.
- Lower the heat and add minced garlic to the skillet, cooking until fragrant (about 1 minute). Pour in heavy cream while stirring continuously.
- Gradually stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper; add reserved pasta water if needed for desired consistency.
- Slice cooked chicken into strips and return it to the skillet with drained fettuccine. Toss everything together for about 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.
