  • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce

  • 1/4 cup chopped red onion
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
  • 1/4 cup sour cream (optional)
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lime wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken:
    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
    • Add the chicken pieces to the skillet and season with chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
    • Cook for 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is fully cooked and lightly browned.
  2. Add the Black Beans:
    • Add the black beans to the skillet with the cooked chicken. Stir well to combine and cook for 2-3 minutes, until the beans are warmed through.
  3. Warm the Tortillas:
    • Heat the tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for 30 seconds on each side, or wrap them in foil and warm them in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 5 minutes.
  4. Assemble the Tacos:
    • Fill each tortilla with a portion of the chicken and black bean mixture.
