Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef (80% lean)
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 12 slider buns
- 12 small slices of cheddar cheese
- Pickles, optional
- Ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise, for serving
- Butter, for brushing the buns
- Fresh lettuce, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Patties:
- In a bowl, combine the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, chopped onion, salt, and pepper. Mix well but do not overwork the meat.
- Divide the mixture into 12 even portions and shape each portion into a small patty, slightly larger than the size of the slider buns.
- Cook the Sliders:
- Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Cook the patties for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 160°F/71°C).
- Add a slice of cheddar cheese to each patty during the last minute of cooking, letting it melt.
- Prepare the Buns:
- While the patties cook, slice the slider buns in half. Lightly butter the cut sides of the buns and toast them in a skillet or oven until golden brown.
- Assemble the Sliders:
- Place each cooked patty on the bottom half of a toasted slider bun. Top with a pickle slice (if using) and any additional condiments like ketchup, mustard, or mayonnaise.
- Add the top bun and gently press to secure.
- Serve:
- Serve the sliders immediately while warm and enjoy these delicious mini cheeseburgers. Optional: Garnish with fresh lettuce for added flavor and crunch!
Notes
- You can add additional toppings like tomato slices, grilled onions, or bacon if desired.
- For a more flavorful twist, try using a mix of cheeses like Swiss, American, or pepper jack.
- These sliders can easily be made ahead of time and reheated for parties or gatherings.
