Ingredients

Scale

For the Beef Patties:

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef (80% lean)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

For Assembling the Burgers:

  • 4 hamburger buns, toasted
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese (or cheese of your choice)
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Sliced tomatoes
  • Sliced onions
  • Pickles (optional)
  • Ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise (or condiments of choice)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Beef Patties:
    • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and olive oil. Mix until just combined—avoid overworking the meat to keep the patties tender.
    • Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a round patty, about 1/2-inch thick. Press a small indentation into the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.
  2. Cook the Patties:
    • Heat a grill, griddle pan, or skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Place the patties on the grill or in the pan and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness (internal temperature of 160°F for medium).
    • During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty and cover to melt the cheese.
  3. Assemble the Burgers:
    • Toast the hamburger buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster.
    • Spread your favorite condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise) on the bottom bun.
    • Place the cooked beef patty with melted cheese on the bun.
    • Top with lettuce, tomato, onion slices, and pickles, if desired.
    • Add the top bun and press gently to hold everything together.
  4. Serve:
    • Serve the burgers hot with a side of fries, salad, or your favorite side dish. Enjoy your Beef Burgers Special!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add your favorite toppings such as avocado, sautéed mushrooms, or bacon.
  • Ground turkey or chicken can be used for a lighter version of the burger.
  • Leftover cooked patties can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheated in a pan or microwave.
