  • 500g boneless chicken thighs
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons garam masala
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon ground coriander
  • 400g canned diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken by mixing yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, cumin, coriander, and chili powder in a bowl. Add the chicken pieces and coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour or overnight.
  2. Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add marinated chicken and cook until browned on all sides. Remove from the pan.
  3. In the same pan, sauté onions until golden brown; add garlic and ginger. Pour in pureed tomatoes and simmer for about 10 minutes.
  4. Return the cooked chicken to the sauce, stir in heavy cream, and simmer for another five minutes until heated through.
